In light of the latest restrictions, our churches are having to look at whether they can continue to offer worship and in what way.

If, for the moment, you prefer to worship at home, then join the Darlington, and Barnard Castle and Teesdale Circuits' weekly worship, streamed on-line.
We're now into Advent - a season to grapple with the challenging questions and scenarios of life, especially in 2020. So join us for worship, in the valley and the mountain top of this pilgrimage towards the Incarnation of the Saviour of the World, as we cry together Maranatha! - Come Lord!
Meet the new kid on the block!
The Rev Graham Cutler joined us in September this year with responsibility for all our churches plus Barton church in the Darlington circuit. This is what he says about himself:
"We have crossed the Pennines from glorious Lancashire to a place which is all very new to us, The Land of the Prince Bishops.
With a long background as an electronics engineer in Research & Development, I have spent the last 19 years serving as Presbyter in two circuits in Lancashire.
We are enjoying discovering this beautiful dale, along with my wife, Jude and our faithful dog, Boris. Jude & I have two adult children, Naomi and Nathanael, in whom we delight.
Our reason for being here is simple: to share in the worship and work which the Lord has given to the churches here, namely to love as Jesus loves, to follow His Word (Matt.5:16-18 RSV) and to make disciples - fully committed followers of Christ. I have a deep appreciation of the traditional but a desire to communicate in the present.
We have experienced such a warmth of welcome here and perhaps, over time, you will get used to my sense of humour (maybe?!) Blessings, Graham
Now you can keep up to date with what's happening around the circuit using our own dedicated Facebook page. Just click on the image above.

For Women, For Justice, For Christ During the current pandemic we have not been able to meet or share many of the activities we had planned in the Darlington District including our annual MWiB Autumn Day so the coordinating team have produced a RainbowService which we hope you will find encouraging, uplifting and comforting. Click here to join in!
Celebrating Advent: The Darlington District is going to be releasing a video every Sunday in Advent and sharing the Connexional resources on our social media channels. Watch this space for more information.
Prayer line Just because some of our doors are closed for the moment it doesn’t mean we have stopped being ‘the church’ or wanting to serve our communities in whatever way we can. So if you have any worries or concerns where you feel prayer would help, please post your request here.
Serving the community of both residents and visitors, our four Methodist Churches offer a warm welcome to all in the historic market town of Barnard Castle and to the villages of Teesdale. Please join us and share God's words of love, compassion and justice for all.
