BARNARD CASTLE METHODIST CHURCHMISSION STATEMENT 'Knowing Jesus and making Jesus known'
.Our churches - and coronavirus (COVID-19): The gradual re-opening of our churches is something we are working towards with anticipation - and a proper degree of caution. The safety and wellbeing of everyone coming into our premises is our primary concern and there is much to be considered and prepared for. The great news is that Barnard Castle Methodist Church HAS opened again. We look forward to meeting you all again over the coming weeks, to pray and to worship, albeit in a different way to what we have been accustomed. We are very aware that the situation and guidance is changing all the time and we want to assure you that procedures are in place for your protection and comfort. Some things will inevitably be different but I am sure that, with your understanding, we shall be able to worship together.
From 6 September 2020, the church will now be open for private prayer between 10 am and 12 noon each Sunday. There will be a short service at 10.30 am (if the preacher is able to attend).
I know that this is not ideal but I want to assure you that we are doing all we can to make you feel welcome and safe. I do hope that you will feel able to come and join with Christian friends in worship even if not quite yet. Take your time. You will know when the time is right for you.

If you know of anyone who does not use a computer, then the service on Radio 4 on a Sunday morning (0810) offers Sunday Worship
In response to ourMission Focus for 2020 - Christian Discipleship . We are using Holy Habits: an adventure in Christian discipleship based upon Luke’s picture of the early church in Acts 2:42-47. It explores and encourages the practice of ten disciplines, or holy habits: biblical teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, prayer, sharing resources, serving, eating together, gladness and generosity, worship and making more disciples.
