The Circuit Light Party

A great evening when 27 youngsters had loads of fun bobbing for apples, playing hook the duck & loads of party games as well as enjoying hot dogs and party food. We also made tea-light candle holders and carved hearts into pumpkins for World Vision Night of Hope and we raised £25 towards their work with the children in Syria -

The “High Five” Holiday clubs were a great success. 79 children attended over the three weeks and we all had great fun. Our mornings were packed full of  praising God, playing loads of fun games, making lots of crafts, enjoying a really special time each day in the prayer tent and exploring how Jesus’ hands reached out, cared, shared, welcomed and loved everyone. We were all challenged as to how we can practically feel Jesus’ love ourselves and then extend his love to our friends, family and to everyone in the world.

On the Friday of each Holiday Club we held a service of celebration and prize giving and invited all the children’s families. The three services were really well attended. We had a wonderful time praising God with the youngsters and enjoyed the opportunity to share all that we had been up to. We had lots of positive feedback from the families who all really appreciated the Holiday Club and reiterated the fun that their children had enjoyed.

Each week the youngsters became passionate about raising money for “Water Aid” – this was their chosen charity in response to trying to make Gods world a fairer place.  They decided to sell some of their crafts, along with a table top sale of their donated toys on the Friday celebration service. They raised an amazing £235.13 for the charity and can feel really empowered about making a positive difference.
It was a real privilege to spend time with the children who came to the clubs, to meet and get to know their families and to have the opportunity to share God’s love with them.
