What's on

John's done it!

The Rev John Howard has walked the 268 miles of the Pennine Way, in a little under three weeks- and raised what is hoped will be something over £2,000 for the Methodist-based charity Action for Children.

"I walked the Pennine way in sections when I was in my late twenties but I have always wanted to walk it end to end," said John. "As I looked at what was and was not possible during this autumn, it seemed that this was something that I could do, it would raise money for Action for Children and fulfil an ambition at a time when many other activities were impossible."

Cash is still coming in so the final figure could be even larger. If you want to push John's total higher, you can donate to John's Just Giving page by clicking here.
